"Why are Australian's so stupid?"

Google knows all. Apparently it knows the answer to the question "Why are Australian's so stupid?"

The first answer provided is hilarious. Some of the other search terms are interesting. What would Helen Clark say about them?

Snakes eating animals

I believe it was the actor Samuel L Jackson who uttered the immortal movie line "Enough is enough! I have had it with these motherfucking snakes on this motherfucking plane!" Well here at Animals Eating Animals we love snakes and judging by these pictures, we can understand why the rest of the animal kingdom and Sam Jackson are trying to get the mother fucking snakes off the plane.

First up, the simple things in life. A snake eating a frog. Not much of a challenge for our serpentine friend but none-the-less a tasty morsel.

How about a snake taking on a bird? They must be a bit harder to catch and eat than a frog right? Hmmm, I suspect this bird simply fell asleep in the gutter after a hard night out on the piss and Mr Snake on his way home from this job at the mill simply found him and had him for breakfast

Lizards Gizards!

I think I smell a rat! It's not like I can see the lil bastard anymore....

Oh look a pop princess about to get eaten by an albino python! No, it's just Britney Spears performing a hot lil number for K Fed or who it is she's shacked up with these days. That is one damn lucky snake though eh....

Here's a rattle snake eating a mouse from National Geographic Magazine. I hear rattle snakes can be better than cats at catching mice. You just put one in your kitchen cupboard and they eat the mouse treats. When all mice have been eating the rattlesnake simply moves into your back yard to eat dust.

Sometimes snakes like to each other. Here's a picture of a cape cobra eating a puff adder. Please do not confuse this with a cobra eating Puff Duddy.

Here's possibly the dumbest python in existence. Check out this image of the python  trying to eat a live electric fence:

Just so no-one thinks all pythons are dumb here is one of the most awesome shots ever. A python dragging a kangaroo up a cliff. It's an all time classic!

Look how long the bastard is!

Justin Furstenfeld's story

If you are sick of John Kirwan talking about his depression, check out this interview with the lead singer of Blue October explaining the effects of his bipolar disorder. Justin Furstenfeld's story is quite humbling.

People might want the piss out of Margot Kidder going nuts - here's the reality.

Amusingly, there's a sound bite of one of Blue October's songs and I swear it sounded like The Feelers. Hate me today....

Hey Crocodile, you want a zebra for lunch?

When one thinks of a zebra being eating, I would normally think of a Lion feeding on one but when you think about it, Zebras need to drink and when the sun beats down you'd be forgiven for tempting fate for trying to have a drink in quiet down the local watering hole...

The Daily Telegraph said of this Reuters photo "the stricken animal was attempting to cross the Mara river in the Masai Mara game reserve in south-western Kenya when the reptile struck. And the poor zebra's chances did not look very good as two of the croc's hungry friends lurked menacingly in front of it as well." Stricken Animal? I say the Zebra was freaking lunch meat!
Here's some more pictures of other occasions where some hungry crocs have got them selves some fresh Zebra.

I think thats a death roll of some kind...

Check out this crocodile eating the Zebra's guts:

Here's some more crocs having an orgy over this Zebra platter. Good eating boys!

Crocodiles have also been known to eat sharks but also sometimes suffer the misfortune of being eaten by a leopard... but if you want to have a laugh, check out this crocodile with a vet's arm hanging out his mouth!

Optimus Prime to have cameo in Halo Reach!!

If Lost Planet 2 can have Dom and Marcus from Gears of War turn up for a cameo role, it's no surprise that Optimus Prime is turning up in the Halo Reach campaign. Don't believe me? Here's the proof.

Concept Art for his appearance in Reach:

Or, it just could be an awesome piece of forge.

Spider eating a bird caught in its web!

Spider eating a bird caught in its web!

It's pictures like this of a spider eating a fricking bird that inspire horror movies like Arachnophobia:

The pictures show the Golden Orb Weaver spider with its long black legs wrapped around the body of a dead bird suspended in its web. Presumably the bird flew into the web, tired and was set upon by the spider.

The photos were reportedly taken in Atheron, close to Queensland's tropical north (in Australia). Joel Shakespeare, head spider keeper at the Australian Reptile Park was reported as saying "Normally they prey on large insects… it's unusual to see one eating a bird." Mr Shakepeare said he had seen Golden Orb Weaver spiders as big as a human hand but the northern species in tropical areas were known to grow larger.

Queensland Museum identified the bird as a native finch called the Chestnut-breasted Mannikin.

Leopard takes down a crocodile

What's with the crocodiles in Kruger National Park? Are they pussies? Remember the Battle of Kruger where they lost? Check out these photos of a leopard dragging a crocodile from a river and finishing off on land.

The photographs were taken by Hal Brindley, a professional American wildlife photographer, who was supposed to be taking pictures of hippotami from inside his car in the Kruger National Park. A
titanic wrestle followed.  The leopard  was able to drag the crocodile from the water to the land.

With the crocodile snapping its jaws furiously, the two animals continued to wrestle. Despite the crocodile's huge weight and strength, the leopard had the upper hand catching its prey by the throat. The following pictures show how the croc was subdued, suffocated and then dragged off by the leopard for a well earned lunch!

Victory!

The leopard may have some crocodile meat to eat today but sometimes crododiles do win. Check out when this crocodile bit off a vet's arm or where one got a shark!
